10 Simple tips to keep your skin healthy

          Understanding the value of healthy skin and taking great care of it will help you to live a long and healthy life. It is not possible to replace the skin you’re in, but you can still nourish and pamper it to protect it for the future.

          Skin is the largest body organ that acts as the armour for the body. It protects the other organ and muscles of the body from outside elements like Ultra- Violet radiation, bacteria and other irritating chemicals that can harm the body. Skin prevent the loss of essential body fluid and the penetration of toxic chemicals in the body.

          The skin helps in a number of body’s function including maintaining proper body temperature and the elimination of toxic chemicals from the body. Healthy skin also helps in the production of Vitamin D when exposing to the Sun. Vitamin D is very important for keeping healthy bones and well functioning of the body.

          Here I give you some simple tips that will make your skin healthy;

1. Drinking plenty of water:

          Water is a cure for many diseases including rickets, osteoporosis, dementia and frequent headaches. Drinking 2-3 litres of water daily improve both brain and physical performance.

          If you drink less water, your skin will dehydrate which result in premature skin ageing, appearing wrinkles, etc. Drinking plenty of water daily will keep your skin hydrated and improve the condition of the skin. It helps in removing wrinkles and the fine line from the body.

2. Drinking fresh vegetable juice:

          A glass of fresh vegetable juice is very helpful in keeping your skin healthy. You can make the juice from carrot, beetroot, tomato, etc because these vegetables contain vitamins and antioxidant that help in removing wrinkles from your skin and keep the skin young and healthy.

3. Reducing stress:

          Consistent stress increases the risk of causing many types of diseases. It also boosts the process of skin ageing and triggers acne breakout on the skin. So, reducing the stress to a minimum will definitely help in keeping the skin healthy.

          To reduce stress your need to keep your mind healthy. Quality sleep of 6-7 hours and practising meditation for 30 minutes daily will also reduce all your stress.

4. Quit smoking cigarette:

          Smoking cigarette reduces the amount of blood supply to the skin. As a result, your skin often becomes dry leading to premature ageing of the skin cells. It also damages the collagen protein in your body. These reduce the health of your skin and wrinkles may start appearing on your skin.

These harmful chemicals damage the healthy cells in the body when they spread to the body organ through the bloodstream. Due to this, you can also suffer from various types of cancers, cardiovascular diseases, lungs diseases, etc.

5. Protecting the skin from Sun:

          Always try to protect your skin from Sun especially the midday Sun because Sun emits the harmful Ultra Violet radiation that can cause many skin changes. This skin change includes appearing wrinkles, discolouration, age spot and growth of cancerous cells. It is true that most of the skin cancers are related to sun exposure.

          Try to stay in shade anytime you find yourself out in the sun. You can Wear hats, long-sleeved shirts and pants or apply sunscreen whenever you expose yourself on Sun.

6. Eating a healthy diet:

          Both your body and skin health largely depend on what you eat. If you want to keep your skin in good condition you need to eat plenty of fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, proteins and other nutrient-rich foods.

          Mainly try to eat those vegetables that contain a higher amount of Vitamins and antioxidant. Because these things will help in removing wrinkles and prevent from premature skin ageing. As a result, your skin will become more healthy and look younger.

7. Getting enough sleep:

          Lack of sleep allows your body to release more stress hormone which is known as cortisol. This increase in the level of stress hormone will lead you in increasing stress and inflammation in the body. Due to this the quality of your skin reduce and develop wrinkles, acne, dark circles under the eyes and fine lines in your skin. Sleep deprivation can result in skin allergy.

8. Keep moisturizing your skin:

          Your skin needs consistent hydration in order to stay healthy. Keeping your skin dry effect your skin and your skin can develop wrinkles and crack. Moisturizing your skin will hydrate your skin and protect from wrinkles and crack and improve the skin texture.

          Use lotion and creams to moisturize your skin. You can also use a natural moisturizer like olive oil because it contains antioxidants and acts as an anti-inflammatory to the skin.

          Every after your bath, use smooth towels for drying your skin so that some natural oils and moisture can remain in your skin.

9. Reducing bath time:

         Bathing removes the dirt and germs from the skin. And removing them is quite beneficial for you. But, a very long and hot water shower can also remove the body’s natural oils from your skin. This natural oil help in moisturizing your skin and keep the skin healthy. Removing all of them will make your skin dry and crack.

         Prefer warm or cold water everytime your bath. Many researchers suggest that a warm water bath with some essential oils like coconut, olive, etc help in hydrating your skin and heal the skin from the crack. A warm water bath helps in improving your immune system.

10. Avoiding sugary food:

          Eating sugary foods increase inflammation in your body. As a result, your skin is more vulnerable to acne. It also can damage the collagen protein in your body and condition for developing wrinkles and skin sagging will increase.

          Avoid eating a lot of pizza, cake, chocolate, bread, ice cream, etc. Because these foods increase the chance of causing inflammation in your body.
